‘Tom Freund has the sound of American wanderlust in his blood. Gorgeous wide-open spacious scenes…a literate, stong folk-rock and roots-rock bent, with a cool subdued jazz vein coursing through them thanks to Freund’s jazz schooling and upright bass playing. Lyrically, Freund is obsessed with ‘the beautiful sadness of it all’, to quote one song. And his music mirrors the sentiment, in it’s balance between grit and grace.’ – Ray Rogers – NY POST ‘It’s a classic. I keep it in my CD player all day. It’s got joy. It’s got hope.’ – Victoria Williams -singer/songwriter.
