Description

Have Oboe, Will Travel
for oboe and piano
by Richard Kershaw (b. 1946) – English composer

1. Red Hot Polka: Eastern Europe

2. Ragamuffin Rag: USA

3. Highland Fling: Scotland

4. Tango for Two: Latin America

5. Cossack Steppe Dance: Russia

Have Oboe, Will Travel builds on the success of World Jazz Tour, a set of songs from different countries written for the piano in a jazzy style. This time, the musical themes are Richard’s own, but the characteristic dance rhythms are there as the music visits five different countries. All five dances are delightful and the collection provides enjoyable and distinctive music for teaching use.
